The Lord's Taverners is a thriving club, the official charity for recreational cricket and the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports charity.
Its sporting roots are with the cricketing family, but it also has relationships with a wide range of other sports including rugby, golf, football, tennis and basketball.
The organisation benefits hugely from the activities of the Lady Taverners, their Regions and 4,500 Members, many of them drawn from the world of sport and entertainment.
The Lady Taverners believe that recreational activities and sport are imperative to helping young people fulfil their potential. Their focus is raising funds for specially adapted minibuses, sports wheelchairs, multi-sensory and soft play equipment and supporting girls' cricket.
Access to equipment and facilities can be a barrier to young people who want to enjoy the benefits of sport and recreational activities.
The Lord's Taverners is recognised by the ECB as the official charity for recreational cricket. They provide cricket kit bags and non-turf pitches for communities, clubs and school teams across the UK and recycle cricket and rugby kit for those who need it most.
The Lord’s Taverners is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of specially-adapted minibuses, sports wheelchairs, sensory and soft play and outdoor play equipment, enabling young people with disabilities to enjoy sporting and recreational activities.
