Archie and Liv Take AwardsThe two final Performance of the Month Awards, supported by The University of Wolverhampton and Fearnley Cricket, have been won by two u17s players - Olivia Bentey and Archie O'Hara for their efforts with ball and bat respectivley.
Liv, who plays club cricket with Newcastle & Hartshill CC, returned bowling figures of 8 overs, 1 maiden, 5 for 22 in the county girls u17 win over Northants - enforcing 4 ducks on the opposition in the process. Her performances saw her recognised at the 2018 Cricket Schools Games, held at the ECB National Performance Centre at Loughborough alongisde fellow county teammates Grace Potts and Ilenia Sims.
The boys' award went to Archie O'Hara (Wolverhampton CC) for his record-breaking 306 not out, also against Northants, in their drawn game. Archie carried his bat for the duration of the 570-run first innings, facing 449 balls and smashing 37 fours and one six in what is the highest individual score for a Staffordshire county age group player.
