If you're a new Club Safeguarding Officer, welcome along and thank you for taking the first steps in ensuring that our clubs are safe, effective and child friendly places to be. As a county board we support all Safeguarding Officers to ensure that they are fully trained and have access to help and support whenever they may need it.
As a Safeguarding Officer you will need the following in place:-
- An ECB DBS (no other DBS will be accepted)
- An ECB Safe Hands Qualification: This is a face-to-face course, details below.
- An ECB Safeguarding Level 2 (SGL2) Qualification: This is an online course, see below for link
The ECB and Staffordshire Cricket are committed to ensuring our staff and volunteers have appropriate safeguarding training. All ECB safeguarding courses are cricket-focused and child-centred. They are relevant, engaging and designed to help learners act appropriately and with confidence.
